At Your First Orthodontic Appointment
The initial orthodontic consultation is about diagnosing orthodontic problems and forming a treatment plan. You will fill out some paperwork to help us understand your oral health history and get a good idea of your treatment goals. Our team will also take x-rays and photos to get a complete picture of what’s going on with your smile. We will then perform an examination to see how your teeth align and perform.
Once all the information has been gathered, it will be time to start discussing treatment options, including an estimation of how long the treatment will take and a quote of the cost of treatment. If the appointment is for a minor child, a parent or legal guardian must be present.
What To Bring To Your Consultation
We do everything we can to make sure your consultation is enjoyable and smooth, but you can help by coming prepared with the following things:
- X-rays from your general dentist, if possible
- Your dental insurance information
- Patient Forms filled out
- Your questions about orthodontic treatment!
Having this prepared and ready for your appointment will save you time and allow us to make your first visit the very best experience.
We Look Forward To Meeting You!
